Please be aware that if you own a female pet and they are either pregnant, lactating or in season, they will not be able to be groomed during these times. We do not accept any pets for grooming that currently have any fleas and/or ticks. If you suspect this is the case then please re arrange your appointment at least 48hrs beforehand to avoid a cancellation fee. When treating your pet for fleas this needs to be 48hrs before or after a groom, to avoid any possible reactions with any grooming products used during your pets session.
There is a £10 charge for any fleas found during your pets groom to go towards the cost of cancelling the following appointments that day and flea treatment for the salon. This charge also applies when any pet is unaccepted for a grooming session on the day of the appointment.
In the event that your pets coat needs to be clipped off to release it from matting caused by coat neglect, due to us having to clip close to the skin this may result in some skin irritation or skin nicks and/or cuts from the close shaving. We (Calling All Paws) will not be held responsible or liable for any post grooming effects of this procedure, which is not without risk.
You also agree to pay an extra charge on top of the full groom price which will depend on severity. You will be advised at the start of the groom how much the approximate extra charge will be. It is the owners responsibility to maintain their dogs coat between professional grooming sessions.
We reserve the right not to accept any pet which presents a risk to our safety. It may be necessary for us to muzzle your pet for our safety and theirs too.
A suitable sized muzzle will be chosen allowing your pet to breathe comfortably. If your pet is accepted for grooming and displays aggression that we have not been made aware of in advance, the groom will be terminated and you will be contacted and asked to collect them. You will also be liable to pay the full cost of any damages and expenses your pet has caused.
Whilst your pet is in our care their health and welfare is our main priority. Your pet will only ever be groomed according to their tolerance of the process. Occasionally during a grooming session, a pre existing medical condition may be discovered which you may not be aware of. You will be notified of this so you can seek veterinary advice if you deem necessary.
Although unlikely, accidents can happen during a groom. In the event of an accident or serious medical issue arising during your pets groom, you authorise us (Calling All Paws) to seek veterinary advice/treatment. However we will not be held responsible or liable for any of this issues arising.
You will be given detailed feedback after each groom. Every effort will be made to groom your pet to meet your expectations. It must be clear however no guarantee can be made and we accept no responsibility or liability for the groom carried out according to instructions, but not to your visual expectations.
It may take several grooming sessions for the coat to become your desired style due to coat length and/or type. If you are dissatisfied with any part of your pets groom, please let us know before you leave. Reasonable requests to alter the groom will be dealt with immediately or changes noted for the next groom.
Please be mindful I work by appointment only and majority of the time I am a sole groomer, which means a no show is a loss of income. We offer a free appointment reminder, so please let us know if this is something you think you would benefit from.
Be aware that majority of grooms take between 1-3 hours but may vary. You will be notified if we are available any earlier on the day of your appointment for drop off. You will also be notified of a collection time or a rough estimate and further contact nearer the end of the grooming session, allowing you enough time to collect your pet.
Please do not arrive prior to any time agreed on the day of your pets appointment, as your presence may distract your pet or someone else’s pet during the finishing stages of the groom.
There is a £10 cancellation fee applicable, should you cancel or re arrange your pets groom within 48hrs of the appointment. This will be added to your pets next groom. Including re scheduled appointments. There are no exceptions for this fee other than if your pet is un well.
Your pet may be photographed before, during and after their groom. Photographs may be used on the Calling All Paws website, social media, or other printed materials. Please let us know if you would prefer your pets photograph not to be used at all.
These terms and conditions are in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
